The Event
Live to 9, led by the River Place Neighborhood Association, is a beloved summer concert series and community fundraiser held at the River Place Plaza in downtown Cedar Falls. The event brings the community together to celebrate music and connection while supporting the continued growth and activation of the plaza through arts, entertainment, recreation, and community programming. Led by a dedicated non-profit and volunteer planning committee, Live to 9 helps create vibrant experiences that enhance quality of life in downtown Cedar Falls. Community support through sponsorships, volunteering, donations, and attendance plays an important role in keeping this tradition strong for years to come.

Join us select Friday evenings throughout the summer from 6:00–9:00 PM at the River Place Plaza in downtown Cedar Falls for live music, food vendors, drinks, family-friendly activities, and a welcoming community atmosphere. Each event features a different live band along with local food and beverage options, creating the perfect way to kick off the weekend with friends and family. Whether you're coming to dance, relax, enjoy dinner outdoors, or let the kids play, Live to 9 offers something for everyone. As of 2026, Live to 9 is managed by the River Place Neighborhood Association, continuing the event's tradition of bringing free live music to the Cedar Falls community. The Live to 9 planning committee is made up of volunteer business owners and community partners.
The Venue
River Place Plaza
The Plaza is proudly owned by the River Place Neighborhood Association, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit made up of the property owners in the River Place neighborhood. The Plaza is programmed by Eagle View Hospitality, in partnership with local organizations, businesses, and volunteers who believe in our mission: to promote quality of life through live music, arts, culture, recreation and community at the River Place Plaza.
